The goal of the project is to connect two areas at different elevations—linking the BRT station to Jabal Amman—through the installation of a public elevator. This connection not only improves accessibility but also enhances the overall value of the area.
In addition, a new space was designed adjacent to the elevator to function as a bazaar, further contributing to the revitalization and economic activation of the site.
We chose a high-tech architectural style for this project, as our aim is to redefine and evolve the modernist identity of our built environment. High-tech architecture allows for adaptability and aligns with ongoing technological advancements, making it a future-oriented design solution.
Definition: High-tech architecture, also known as Structural Expressionism, is a style that incorporates elements of industrial technology into building design—celebrating the aesthetics of structure and utility.
This approach emphasizes the building’s technical components, such as blinds, solar panels, or structural frames, treating them as modern ornaments—especially when arranged in rhythmic, repetitive sequences.
Ultimately, buildings in this style are not private, isolated entities—they engage in a public dialogue, offering both functional value and a visual experience to users and passersby alike.
